The City of Gresham is accepting applications for the position of Firefighter/EMT Basic and Firefighter/Paramedic. Working as a Firefighter for the City of Gresham presents an exciting opportunity to serve the public of the fourth largest city in the State of Oregon, along with the cities of Troutdale, Fairview, Wood Village and unincorporated areas of Multnomah County. As a Firefighter, you will respond to emergency calls related to fire suppression and emergency medical services.
An eligibility list will be created in anticipation of a Spring 2022 hiring and recruit academy. Future vacancies may be filled from the same list.
Salary Information: $56,340-$96,432/ Annually

Department Overview: Gresham Fire is a fast-paced fire and EMS department that covers 60+ square miles and over 150,000 people. We provide Advanced Life Support EMS first response, Technical Rescue, Regional Hazardous Materials Team, Rescue Swimmers and Rescue Divers, Boat and swift water rescue, CBRNE, Wildland Urban Interface, Confined Space Entry and Rescue, USAR, Tactical Support Medics (SWAT). We answer over 16,000 calls from seven stations. Our staff works on a 24/48 ABC schedule.

We are 2 hours from the Pacific Ocean, 2 hours from the high desert, and 1 hour from Mt. Hood and year-round snow skiing. We are situated on the Columbia River.
