New Albany Police Officers are tasked with taking proper enforcement action as necessary to maintain the order, safety and general welfare of the city. They provide a highly visible, professional presence while conducting patrol activities, maintaining safety and assisting citizens in a wide range of emergency and non-emergency situations.

Age: The incumbent for this position shall be at least twenty-one (21) years of age and shall be no more than thirty-four (34) years of age at time of appointment.
US Citizen: No; however, legal right to work in the U.S. is required
High School Grad/GED: Yes
Valid OHIO State Driver's License: Possession of a valid Ohio driver’s license and the ability to maintain insurability under the city’s insurance policy.
College: A bachelor’s degree and/or active duty military service with honorable discharge is preferred, but not required to apply for a Police Officer position with the City of New Albany.
Personal History Questionnaire: Candidates must submit an up to date Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ) through NTN with their testing scores. Candidates who do not submit a PHQ will not be interviewed.
