The Arizona Fire & Medical Authority is continuously accepting applications for Emergency Medical Services: EMT/Paramedic (Full and Part-Time). This positions requires MedicTEAM and a valid Medic Mile or CPAT. To be considered for this round of hiring, all testing must be completed by June 15, 2019.

Full Time EMT: $38,638 - $51,783 / Full Time Paramedic: $45,527 - $64,030

An Assistant Chief and Deputy Chief oversee the Emergency Services Section, with the help of six shift battalion chiefs and a 40-hour battalion chief. Firefighters and Emergency Medical Service (EMS) personnel work 48 hours on, 96 hours off and change shifts at 8 a.m. every other day. Area Information: Today, the Arizona Fire & Medical Authority (AFMA), a predominantly ISO Class 1 / Internationally Accredited organization, serves over 75,000 people, providing all hazard emergency services, including 9-1-1 and inter-facility ambulance service from eight fire stations strategically located in the Phoenix metro-area’s west and east valley, ensuring a quick and immediate response to any situation. The Authority has approximately 120 sworn firefighters and 70 civilian full-time and part-time EMT’s and Paramedics who respond to assist citizens in need over 15,000 times each year.

Necessary Certifications: State of Arizona EMT or Paramedic Certification
Additional Requirements: A valid Medic Mile or CPAT through National Testing Network or equivalent testing center within six (6) months of application.

Driving under the Influence Disqualifier: Any applicant for employment with the Authority who has received a DUI conviction within the past five (5) years will not be eligible for employment.
