The City of Perrysburg is hiring. Both the FireTEAM exam and Firefighter Mile physical exam are required for this position.

Salary Information: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour depending on qualifications

Department Overview: The Perrysburg Fire Division consists of 24 full time sworn firefighter/paramedic and 11 part-paid firefighters serving nearly 21,000 residents covering an area of approximately 12 square miles. The Perrysburg Fire Division is primary 9-1-1 EMS provider, provides fire suppression, water rescue, and extrication. We are very involved in community events and participate in several regional automatic aid agreements.
Area Information: The City of Perrysburg is located in Wood County in Northwest Ohio. It is situated just off of I75 along the Maumee River, just minutes away from Lake Erie. Perrysburg has a beautiful historic downtown district, nationally ranked library and outstanding school system. Perrysburg also boasts an extensive park system, including 11 parks covering 238 acres. Perrysburg was voted as one of Ohio’s Best Home Towns by Ohio Magazine in 2009. Perrysburg is home to the largest reconstructed wooden walled fortification in North America that was designed to defend Ohio against British invasion in the war of 1812.

Necessary Certifications: Must possess State of Ohio Firefighter II Certification and Basic EMT Certification or State of Ohio Firefighter I Certification and Paramedic EMT Certification.
Felony, Criminal Activity Disqualifiers:: Applicant disqualifiers include any felony level conviction or currently being charged or under indictment for any felony level offense. Expunged and sealed criminal records are subject to review by the Fire Division for disqualifying criminal history.
Driving Disqualifiers:: A current driver’s license suspension or a current restriction of driving privileges based on pending traffic or criminal offense or a traffic or criminal conviction.
Veteran’s Points:: Honorably discharged veterans are entitled to receive an additional 5% added to their passing score.
