Department Information: Clackamas Fire District protects more than $18 billion in assessed value comprised of a mix of industrial, commercial, and residential properties. Our employees play an important role not only in making our District what it is today, but also in shaping the future of Clackamas Fire District #1. Approximately 243 career firefighters and administrative personnel oversee the efforts of the Fire District. In addition, a cadre of more than 90 volunteer firefighters assist with firefighting efforts and provide assistance with many of the Fire District’s auxiliary services. In total, the Fire District covers nearly 235 square miles— with 20 community fire stations in urban, suburban, and rural areas, and serves nearly 202,000 permanent residents. Our career and volunteer firefighters respond to over 20,000 incidents annually throughout our service area.
District Information: Our service area encompasses five cities including the City of Damascus, Happy Valley, Johnson City, Milwaukie, and Oregon City, as well as the unincorporated areas of Barton, Beavercreek, Boring, Carver, Clackamas, Clarkes, Highland, Eagle Creek, Oak Lodge, Redland, and Sunnyside.As we grow, we continue to focus on the goals that have made our Fire District a leader in delivering the highest quality fire and emergency medical services. US Citizen: Yes

Valid OREGON State Driver's License: Yes - Any Valid US driver's license.
Ability to Read/Speak English: Yes
Vision: NFPA Firefighter 1582 Physical Exam 6.4 Eyes and Vision
Schooling Prior and Post Hiring: High School or GED or equivalent minimum qualification. Post hiring: additional training provided by the District, tuition reimbursement available per policy.
Felony, Criminal Activity Disqualifiers: Must be able to meet Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) criteria.
Driving Disqualifiers: Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
Drug Use Disqualifiers: Clackamas Fire District #1 is a drug-free workplace.
