The City of Nampa is anticipating upcoming hiring for Entry Level and/or Lateral Transfer Police Officers. The department is building an eligibility list for current and future positions. Nampa Police Department offers a lateral transfer program for certified officers, at a 2 for 1 years of service ratio (e.g. Transfers with 10 years’ experience with another agency, plugin at NPD 5 year pay rate, rather than starting pay rate).

Salary Information: Police Officer $20.34 - $30.63 per hour+ 2% bilingual Spanish/English incentive.

Physical fitness test
All prospective hires for Nampa Police Department, regardless of POST Certification, must pass the standard Idaho POST physical fitness test as part of the testing process for Nampa Police Department. The full test and procedures for testing can be found here.

Vertical jump - 14.0"
1 minute sit-ups - 15 reps

300 meter run: 77.0 seconds
1.5 mile run: 17 min 17 seconds
