The Wasco County Sheriff's Office is hiring for the position of Patrol Deputy. This position will is open until filled.
All candidates must take the FrontLine National test and have valid passing ORPAT through National Testing Network.

Salary Information: $4,276.99 - $4,959.99/month

Area Information: The Wasco County Sheriff’s Office encompasses over 2400 square miles and serves a population of over 25,000 citizens. The county is diverse with outdoor activities, community events, micro-breweries, and wineries.

High School Grad/GED: Required
Valid OREGON State Driver's License: Required
Ability to Read/Speak English: Required
Vision: Must meet DPSST standards
College: Not required but preferred
Academy Certification: Required within one year of employment
Prior Experience: Not required but preferred
Hiring Process: Applicants will begin by applying with the National Testing Network. Successful applicants will be selected based on test scores. If successful the applicant will be afforded the opportunity for an oral interview. Background Investigation, drug screen, and psychiatric evaluation will complete the process.
Specific Disqualifiers/Behaviors: Wasco County Sheriff’s Office, in compliance with DPSST directives conducts a post conditional offer background check on all position finalists. This comprehensive, in-depth process is required to determine Moral Fitness, Honesty, Integrity, Character and Credibility of the individual. The check includes all facets of the finalist’s past (education, roommates, family, financial, residential, criminal and driving).
