Job Classification: Patrol Officer
The Springboro Police Department is currently hiring for entry-level and lateral Patrol Officers. Hiring is done every 6 months, so candidates are encouraged to take the FrontLine National exam and submit their scores on an ongoing basis.
Salary Information: Range $56,603.87 – 72,419.16 DOQ. 3% increase for having college degree

Department Overview: Department provides an opportunity for a multitude of special assignments regularly such as SWAT, Detective, U.S. Marshal SOFAST, Bike patrol, Honor guard, Drug Task Force, DARE and many more. Most assignments are regularly rotated to give all officers the opportunity to move through different posts and experiences. Community based agency constantly striving to give officers most up to date, state of the art equipment.

Prior Experience: Lateral candidates encouraged to apply and will receive credit for prior full-time years. Lateral hires will transfer directly into the correlating pay step up to five years of service.
Necessary Certifications: OPOTA Basic Academy
Schooling Prior and Post Hiring: 3% educational incentive / paid tuition up to $5000 a year for continuing education
