Classification: Police Officer The Weed Police Department is currently establishing an eligibility list for the position of Police Officer and is looking to fill 2 positions. Candidate must complete and pass the FrontLine National exam and oral exam to be considered for the hiring process. The department also requires the candidate PHQ. Salary Information:$48,732 - $61,428 per yearBenefit Information:City covers medical for single, and half additional cost of family, 12 City paid holidays, 3% Incentive for Associates, 3 % (up to 6%) for Bachelors (must be applicable towards field), 96 Hr. of Vacation and 96 hr. of Sick Leave accrual per year, CAPERS Member, Incentive for P.O.S.T. Intermediate (3%) and Advanced Certificates (3%), City paid life insurance
Department Overview: The Police Department consists of an administrative and patrol divisions. The department is staffed with a Police Chief, 2 Sergeants, a Corporal, 6 Patrol Officers, and a member assigned to the Narcotics Task Force and one as School Resources Officer. Our staff also includes 2 Reserve Officers, one full-time Community Service Officer, and two part-time Community Service Officers. There is 4 full-time Dispatchers and 2 Part-time
