The Aurora Civil Service Commission in Aurora Colorado is currently accepting applications for Aurora Police Department Entry-Level Officer positions to fill an academy in August 2020. This position will accept FrontLine National exam scores from the National Testing Network that are valid through February 23, 2020.

Position Information:The Aurora Police Department is seeking individuals who represent diversity in thought and experiences, which are shared by our citizens. Candidates must have strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Candidates should possess good interpersonal skills, common sense, and have the ability to problem solve.
Minimum qualifications are as follows: must be 21 years of age by the Academy start date, must have a valid Driver’s License, no felony convictions in their criminal history, must have a high-school diploma or G.E.D., must be a U.S. Citizen, no marijuana usage within 365 days of application, good driving history. 2020 Salary Information: $27.40-$35.69 Hourly$2,191.69-$2,855.46 Biweekly$4,748.67-$6,186.83 Monthly$56,984.00-$74,242.00 Annually
Starting pay– entry level applicants earn $56,984 per year (Grade IV)

Officers will contribute 1% of their pre-tax salary, on a bi-weekly basis into a 457 (b) Deferred Compensation plan, managed by Nationwide retirement solutions.
Additionally, Officers will also have the option to contribute funds (post-tax, and up to a certain dollar amount) into a Roth plan, also managed by Nationwide retirement solutions.
