Job Title: LATERAL FIREFIGHTER/EMT
Full-Time | Civil Service | IAFF Local 437

Compensation & Benefits: Salary: $6810.08–$11,137.40 Semi-Monthly.

Location & Schedule: Bremerton, WA. Schedule – 24-hour shifts followed by 72 hours off
Core Responsibilities:
· Respond to fire, emergency medical, rescue, and other emergency calls
· Perform fire suppression, rescue, emergency medical, salvage, and related emergency operations
· Operate or learn to safely operate fire apparatus, emergency vehicles, radios, and specialized equipment
· Assist with patient care and transportation as assigned
· Use hoses, pumps, ladders, breathing apparatus, extrication equipment, ropes, oxygen equipment, and other emergency tools
· Participate in mutual-aid and major emergency operations
Must-Have (Minimum) Qualifications:
· At least 18 years old
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Possess a valid driver’s license
· Possess a current EMT Certification
· CPAT Certificate from a licensed testing facility within 12 months of application submission date
· One (1) year of full-time, paid career firefighting experience with a fire agency
· Completion of a fire agency probation
· Complete City of Bremerton Application with resume, IFSAC or ProBoard Firefighter 1 and Hazmat Ops Certificates
