An exam taken on NTN’s Virtual Proctor platform allows you to take an exam at a secure remote location while still following the proctored testing protocol. The NTN Virtual Testing Instructions page contains a list of what is NOT allowed during virtual testing. How do I know if my computer system will support virtual testing? Please test your equipment prior to your exam time, and view all Virtual Testing requirements by following this link. It is your responsibility to ensure your personal equipment is in working order before the designated test time. NTN Proctors and Support staff cannot troubleshoot your computer, your internet, or your related testing equipment. What are some common solutions to help my computer support virtual testing? Yes, live proctors are watching and monitoring you and your computer throughout the entire virtual testing session. Can proctors access my computer without my knowledge? Candidates agree to give NTN permission to see all computer activity during the virtual testing session. These activities are also recorded for security. Am I allowed to leave the room while testing? No. You may not leave the room once your session has begun and you are connected with the proctor. Testing sessions can last up to three (3) hours, depending on the test. It is important that you take care of any personal needs before testing (i.e. using the restroom, etc.) as there are no breaks. The proctor will end your exam if you physically leave the room during your session. What could cause my virtual exam to end before I finish my test? If the proctor suspects cheating or sees any unauthorized materials in the exam room, they will end your exam. The proctor will also end your exam if you physically leave the room. There are many other technical issues that can arise that may require ending your exam. Contact support if your virtual exam has been exited early. What happens if I cannot connect at my scheduled virtual exam time? You will not be able to test that session. Please contact Support. What kind of support is available?
