2) Interview with Operation and Support Services Captains
3) A limited number of applicants will be subjected to a thorough background investigation, polygraph examination, and an interview with the Chief of Police. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, the applicant will be required to complete a thorough medical examination and a psychological assessment.
Per POST standards, the background investigation shall reveal you are of "good moral character" and are free from any bias against race or ethnicity, gender, nationality, religion, disability, or sexual orientation.
Post-Academy:All persons appointed to the position of Police Officer Trainee will be required to complete a POST-certified police academy, the department’s field training program, and an 18- month probation period that begins the date of appointment or promotion to the rank of Police Officer Recruit II.
