Department Overview:
Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue is a progressive combination department. We’re located west of Seattle and are one of the largest service providers on the Kitsap Peninsula, with over 100 fire suppression personnel. CKFR provides emergency response services from ten fire stations, five of which are career staffed stations.
Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue just passed a community bond measure that will replace and/or remodel all of our stations. CKFR continues to experience growth, resulting in increased call volumes, over 11,300 last year.
Area Information: Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue is located on the Puget Sound one hour's ferry ride from Seattle. Silverdale is an urban, non-incorporated town with several retail businesses. A new YMCA as well as restaurants, a major mall and several coffee shops frame the town. The Olympic Mountains are 90 minutes from Silverdale. The Olympics are known for their hiking, fishing and beauty. Kitsap County has the largest shoreline of any county in the state. As such fishing and boating are popular here.

· Background Check: Must pass comprehensive background check.
· Psychological & Physical Testing: Must pass testing provided by CKFR selected or approved medical professionals.
