The Monroe Township Fire Department is currently hiring for Part-Time Firefighter/EMT!
All candidates must take the FireTEAM exam through National Testing Network, complete the candidate PHQ, as well as the department application, located here, to be considered further in the hiring process.
Salary Information: $18-22/hr depending on experience

Department Overview: Monroe Township is a mostly paid department that provides service to 68 square miles from two stations. Staffing is currently 9-10 firefighters per day, Emergency responses in 2025 are estimated to be approximately 3000.
Area Information: Monroe Township’s service area includes the city of Johnstown and part of the city of New Albany and is located in northwest Licking County just outside of Columbus. Services the Ohio One Intel project.

Scheduling:Intermittent (Part-time) employees work either a 24 or 12 hour shift. Employees may choose from a random or every sixth day schedule. Employees are required to work an average of at least 96 hours per month minimum.
