The Plant City Fire Rescue is currently recruiting for Firefighter/EMT positions. This position requires a valid CPAT certification.

Salary Information: Range: $49,591.36-$53,639.04
Employee must complete all requirements to become a Paramedic within three years of being hired as a Firefighter/EMT. Once cleared as a Paramedic, the employee will receive a salary increase following the current Firefighter/Paramedic step plan.

Position Summary: Performs responsible protective service work in fire suppression, basic emergency medical services; does related work as required. Work is often performed under emergency conditions and frequently involves considerable personal hazard. Work is performed under regular supervision.
Department Overview: Plant City Fire Rescue is a full-service Fire Rescue Department protecting 28 square miles with a population of approximately 40,000. The Department currently has a staff of 48 line-personnel operating out of 3 Fire Rescue stations. Our department responds to over 6,000 emergencies annually.
City Information: The City of Plant City is geographically located in the middle of the west coast of Florida, approximately 25 miles east of Tampa, immediately west of Lakeland, and 70 miles west of Orlando. Plant City is located in northeast Hillsborough County, which is the fourth largest county in Florida.The City limits comprise 28.43 square miles, and include approximately 40,000 residents as of the latest population estimate.
