The Watsonville Police Department is currently building an ongoing list for Police Officer position.

This position requires the National Testing Network Front Line National exam and a physical agility exam.

The physical agility can be taken either through the National Testing Network or through your local academy facility. Please submit your NTN scores through your candidate account, and attach your physical agility scores with your application.

Salary Information:
While enrolled in the Academy: $7,888.61. monthly
Academy Graduate/Lateral Police Officer: $94,663.40-$126,858.42 annually

Benefits Information:

Intermediate POST certificate or AA/AS: 2.5% differential pay
Advanced POST certificate or BA/BS: 5% differential pay
Masters degree: 7.5% differential pay
Spanish Bilingual Pay: 5% differential pay
Graveyard shift pay differential: 5% differential pay
Specialized assignment compensation
Uniform Allowance: $1,200 per year
Tuition reimbursement $2,000 per year
Participation in CalPERS retirement
80 to 160 hours of vacation per year
12 paid holidays per year
15 paid sick leave days per year
$50,000 Life Insurance
Longevity Pay 2% at 10 years and 4.5% at 20 years

Age:

High School Grad / GED:
High School Diploma or GED equivalency; higher education preferred

Driver's License:
Valid CALIFORNIA Driver's License and a safe driving record

Ability to Read/Speak English:
Ability to write clear and comprehensive reports and communicate effectively orally

Vision:
Vision correctible to 20/30 in each eye. Normal color acuity; non-restricted peripheral vision
