The Bella Vista Fire Department is building an ongoing eligibility list for Firefighter / EMT & Firefighter Paramedic (Entry Level)! Candidates are required to submit a department application, located here, as well as submitting FireTEAM test scores through National Testing Network.
Bella Vista Fire Department requires the candidate PHQ as well. You can access the questionnaire through your candidate account. The PHQ must be completed or you may not be considered further in the process.

Department Overview: Fire Chief Steve Sims and Deputy Fire Chief Bryan Wolfgang command a staff of Division Chief of Training, Fire Inspector, three administrative personnel and 60 firefighters who also serve as medical personnel — either licensed EMTs or paramedics. A Battalion Chief and three captains command each of the three shifts.
The city uses state-of-the-art fire apparatuses, including a 75-foot ladder truck and 3 Class A pumpers, 2 rescues, a brush unit and medical personnel operate six ambulances within the city. The city currently operates out of four firehouses with more houses and training center expected in the near future.
The department’s focus remains the citizens and visitors of Bella Vista and their health and safety. We strive to assist residents by providing information and offering educational opportunities, making Bella Vista the ideal place to call home.
We provide Fire and EMS services as well as Hazmat, Tech-Rescue and Community Para-medicine at a call volume of approx. 4,000 yearly. Our shift schedule is a 48/96
