Job Classification: Firefighter EMT or Firefighter Paramedic
The San Carlos Park Fire District is currently building an ongoing eligibility list for Firefighter EMT/Paramedic! This position requires FireTEAM testing and a valid NTN CPAT.

Firefighter/EMT $58,206.72
Firefighter/Paramedic $62,236.72

~MEDICAL INSURANCE BENEFITS~
The district shall provide hospitalization, prescription card, vision care and dental insurance for each full-time employee and his/her immediate family. Employee shall receive this coverage immediately upon employment. Employees hired after January 2014 and wishing to provide health care insurance for their dependents shall pay in accordance with the following schedule (based on the actual premium cost).
0 up to 1 year of service 60% Employer, 40% Employee
Upon 1 year of service 70% Employer, 30% Employee
Upon 2 years of service 80% Employer, 20% Employee
Upon 3 years of service 90% Employer, 10% Employee
~RETIREMENT BENEFITS~
56 hr. employees shall be covered under Chapter 175 and currently contribute (3% of pensionable earnings).
All employees are provided an accidental on-duty death insurance required by law.

Valid FLORIDA State Driver's License : Yes
Ability to Read/Speak English : Yes
Necessary Certifications :
· Current State of Florida Firefighter Certificate of Compliance
· State of Florida EMT or Paramedic license
· Possess a current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR card
· Valid Florida Driver’s License
· Emergency Vehicle Operation Course (EVOC) training preferred
· CPAT physical agility and written test scores required
Hiring Process : Background investigation will be conducted, including FDLE fingerprinting, driver’s license check, psychological & physical examinations w/drug screening.
