Job Classification: Corrections Officer

The Logan County Sheriff Department is currently building an eligibility list for Corrections Officer. All candidates must complete NTN REACT exam to be eligible for this list.

The department also requires the candidate PHQ. You can access the account through your candidate account. The PHQ must be completed.

Salary Information: 1st year salary $43,571. After 1 year, $54,232

Lateral Hiring:

At the discretion of the Sheriff, a new employee who is a certified Corrections Officer in the State of Illinois mat start at a salary up to “After five (5)” years of service in the wage scale. A new employee shall only start at a step which is commensurate with the years of service the new employee has completed with another police department.
