Taylorville is establishing an entry-level police officer hiring list! All candidates must take the Frontline National exam through the National Testing Network before 10-10-2026 or the day of the testing date, you must be registered with NTS.
The City of Taylorville Police and Fire Commissioners will hold the orientation, power test, and test on October 10th, 2026, at 09:00 AM at the Taylorville Fire Department, Taylorville, IL. If you still need to take the test online, you may take the test in person on the 10th of October 2026 as long as you have registered with the National Testing Network. Please bring a form of ID. Dress for the power test.
Salary Information: $70,848.96 start then a step program.

Must be a U.S. citizen or an individual with permanent resident status and legally authorized to work in the U.S.Possess a valid Drivers License.Must be 21 years of age at the time of application.
