Classification:

Firefighter/Paramedic - REGULAR FULL-TIME POSITION (***These are not S.A.F.E.R. grant positions)

All candidates must have completed the FireTEAM Test and approved CPAT prior to application but no later than September 1, 2025.

Salary Information: STARTING PAY- $22.67 per hour - Approx.: $ 68,803 Annually ( in accordance with FLSA guidelines)

Retirement: State of Florida Retirement (F.R.S.)

Department Overview:

The Minneola Fire Department, located in Minneola, FL, proudly serves a growing community of over 20,500 residents across 13 square miles. ISO Class 3 rated, the department provides non-transport ALS and fire response with a fleet of two engines and new tower truck. Responding to more than 1,700 service calls annually, the Minneola Fire Department is an essential part of the community's safety infrastructure.

Operating from two strategically located fire stations off US Hwy 27 and the Florida Turnpike, the department's 36 dedicated personnel work 24/48-hour shifts to ensure rapid response times. With planned growth including over 10,000 new homes, 3 million square feet of commercial property, and 1 million square feet of industrial space, Minneola is poised for significant expansion.

As part of this growth, the department plans to expand to three ALS-equipped fire stations in the coming years, providing exciting opportunities for professional development.
