Job Classification: Firefighter Part-time

The Northern Arizona Fire District is hiring Part Time Firefighter and Building a list for Full time Firefighter, EMT or Paramedic preferred.

Part Time Salary: $14.00 per hour, $1.75 per hour additional for Paramedics
Full Time Salary: $46000.00—$61000.00, $1.75 per hour additional for Paramedic.

Qualified individuals will provide service as the Firefighter under supervision
of the Captain or Engineer respond to emergency calls for assistance from the public, and participates in Fire Suppression, emergency medical treatment,
rescue, hazardous material incidents, mitigation and special operations; and performs related duties as assigned.

Academy Certification:
Arizona Firefighter I & II or equivalent AND Arizona Emergency Medical Technician

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of the principles and practices of emergency response operations.
Knowledge of the operation, Maintenance, and cleaning of fire apparatus and equipment.
Knowledge of standard Operating procedures within the Fire Department.
Knowledge of team dynamics and skill in operating in a team based environment.
Skill in developing and maintaining effective inter personal relations.
Skill in oral and written communications.

Requirements:
-Valid National Registry and /or Arizona State EMS Certification
-Firefighter I & II Certification or equivalent
-Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operational Certifications.
-High school diploma or G.E.D.
-Valid Arizona Drivers License or ability to acquire one.
-Meet insurance requirements of the District’s Insurance Carrier.
-Meet NAFD physical standards, Cpat or testing can be available in house.
