POSITION: Firefighter/Paramedic

STARTING SALARY: $68.600.00 Annually (includes FLSA Overtime & Holiday Pay)

Citrus County Fire Rescue was established in 1974. Until the early 90s the fire service was run by a Fire Commission Board and was 100% volunteer. As of 2024 Citrus County Fire Rescue operates out of 10 career stations with 171 operations personnel, The department's full-time state certified firefighter/paramedics, firefighter/EMTs, EMTs and paramedics serve more than 170,000 citizens, cover 773 square miles of land and 39 square miles of water, and respond to an average of 100 emergencies a day. CCFR provides an array of services to include ALS/BLS transport EMS, Fire Suppression, Technical Rescue, Hazmat, Community Paramedics, and a Clinical Social Worker.
