The Hood River County Sheriff's Office is hiring for Patrol Deputy. To be eligible, candidates are required to complete the NTN FrontLine National exam, the ORPAT certification, and please apply online at Services-Employment at www.hoodrivercounty.gov during the time this posting is open. Salary Range: $30.34/hour - $36.81/hour
Certifications: Intermediate 4%, Advanced 8%
Longevity: 2.5% on base salary beginning after the 5th year of employment; additional 2.5% increase each 5 year period thereafter
Benefit Information:
The salary for this position is supplemented by a benefit package, including a choice of Hood River County’s Major medical packages through Oregon Educators Benefit Board (OEBB). Currently, Hood River County pays 85% of the premium for you and dependents on Medical and Vision. Dental coverage is offered to you; up to full family. The County’s contribution may change from year to year. Other benefits included are Life Insurance, 100% County Paid Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), access to Employee Assistance Program (EAP), paid vacation, paid sick leave and those benefits required by law. Optional benefits include participation in a 457 B deferred compensation plan and/or a 125 flexible spending plan.
Spanish Bi-lingual employees receive additional compensation.
