Candidates must take the Ecomm National exam through National Testing Network and submit their scores to the Westlake Police department for consideration.

Job Requirements

Age:
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age

Citizenship Required:
Required

High School Grad / GED:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent

Driver's License:
Required

Ability to Read/Speak English:
Required

Prior Experience:
Two (2) years of increasingly responsible related experience, or any equivalent combination of related education and experience.

Specific Disqualifiers:
No felony convictions

Job Description:
Under the general supervision of the Police Chief and/or his designee, the individual in this position performs a variety of technical, administrative, and routine clerical work related to receiving and disseminating emergency and routine information; keeping official records; and assisting in the administration of the standard operating policies and procedures of the Department’s Communications Center.
