Job Classification: Full-Time Police Officer

The Village of Russells Point (Indian Lake, Ohio) is accepting applications for 2 Full-Time positions. The Russells Point Police Department is an established proving ground for entry level officers, giving them the tools and experience they need to be competitive candidates for future fulltime employment at larger agencies.

Any candidate currently enrolled and nearing completion of the academy is also encouraged to apply.

The department requires the candidate PHQ. You can access the questionnaire through your candidate account. NTN suggests completing the PHQ as soon as possible or you may not be considered further in the process.

Applicants must have completed the basic academy and hold an Ohio Peace Officer Certification for consideration. Salary Information: $18-$20 an hour depending on experience

Felony, Criminal Activity Disqualifiers
Clear criminal background required.

Driving Disqualifiers

Ability to maintain a valid, Ohio Drivers License and be insurable by the City of Bellevue insurance carrier.
Any conviction of vehicular homicide or related offense or OVI within the past 5 years.

Drug Use Disqualifiers

Use or purchase of illegal drugs within 5 years of application.
Any pattern of illegal drug use.
Abuse of alcohol, chemical agents or prescription drugs.

Employment Disqualifiers
Documented prior employment history, including termination, poor attendance, poor quality of work, poor disciplinary records, etc.

Additional Disqualifiers
Any violation of a Protection Order.
