Salary Information: $74,380 - $106,828 per year

Vacation: 120 hours annually, increasing with every five years of service up to 15 years of service.
Paid Holiday Hours: up to 112 hours annually.

Through the Plan, eligible employees must set aside 9.00 percent, which is subject to change in the coming years, on a pretax basis of which the County will contribute 9.50 percent.
SOCIAL SECURITY
Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office participates in Social Security by contributing 6.2 percent of wages (employee contributes 6.2 percent, as well).

Age:Applicant must be at least 20 years old at the time of application and 21 years old at the end of the academy. There is no maximum age limit.Citizenship Required:
High School Grad / GED:High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.Driver's License:Must possess a valid Driver's License (if hired, you may be required to obtain a Colorado driver's license).Ability to Read/Speak English:Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written English.Job Description :If selected, you will receive training in law enforcement concepts by attending a sponsored Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) Academy to prepare for an assignment in our detention facility. After certification in the academy, this position will focus on enforcing laws, rules and regulations and following the procedures of the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office Detention Facility. This will include areas such as booking, prisoner care, security and transportation. This is an appointed position that works at the pleasure of the Sheriff. After successfully completing the POST Academy, you must complete a (1) one-year assignment in the Detention Facility before being eligible to assess for patrol.Additional Requirements :
