The City of Stayton is seeking qualified applicants for a Police Officer position.
All candidates must complete the NTN FrontLine testing, the NTN personal questionnaire, and a City of Stayton employment application prior to being considered for this position.
How to Apply
Applicants are responsible for contacting NTN and arranging for their own testing. To schedule the required NTN testing, go to the NTN’s website. Select Law Enforcement and signup for Stayton Police Department. If you already have a valid and current test (taken within 12 months of your application date), you may submit it instead of taking the NTN again.

We are seeking applicants who wish to be part of a family-oriented community and police department. Committed to enhancing the community they serve, and the desire to guide and invest in the residents they serve and increase the quality of life through community policing. If chosen, you will be working for a City of approximately 8,000 people. While Salem is nearby, you’ll be working in a rural community that is close to the Santiam Canyon, and provides access to fishing, hunting, hiking, biking, and many other recreational activities.
Salary Information: Entry Level salary starts at $63,651.04 annually plus benefits and Oregon PERS/OPSRP..
Benefit Information: Health Insurance, PERS eligibility after 6 months; education, certification and physical fitness incentives.

If you already have a valid and current test within the last 12 months, you may submit it through the NTN website to the City’s job listing instead of taking the NTN test again. Additionally, to be considered you must take the ORPAT and submit your results to the City of Stayton. If you already have an ORPAT score from within the last 6 months, you may submit it instead of taking the ORPAT again. Out-of-state candidate may submit a valid and current PAT test from another state by attaching it to your employment application. Additionally, candidates must pass a background and psychological evaluation.
