The Pepper Pike Police Department is currently establishing an ongoing list for Patrol Officer. All candidates (Entry Level and Lateral) must take the FrontLine National exam through National Testing Network prior to May 14, 2025.
The department requires the candidate to complete the Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ) and Public Safety Self-Assessment (PSSA). You can access these questionnaires through your candidate account. NTN suggests completing the PHQ and PSSA as soon as possible so there is not a delay in your process.

Job Requirements
Age:Minimum 21 years of age at the time of appointment.Maximum 35 year of age at time of entrance exam.Five-year extension (40 years of age maximum) granted for applicants who have service credit verified in one of the 3 qualified Ohio law enforcement pension systems (OP&F, PERS-LE, and/or HPRS)
Citizenship Required: Yes
High School Grad/GED: Required
Valid OHIO Driver's License: Possession of a valid Ohio driver’s license at the time of appointment and the ability to maintain insurability under the city’s insurance policy.
Ability to Read/Speak English: Yes
Vision: Must have corrected vision in both eyes to 20/20.
College: Not required, but extra credit given for Bachelors or Associates Degrees.
Academy Certification:Not required, but preferred. Additional credit given for valid certificate from the Ohio Peace Officer’s Basic Training Academy.
Prior Experience:Not required, but extra credit given for 2 years or more of actual full-time experience as a municipal, state, or federal law enforcement officer.
Necessary Certifications:Must attend and successfully complete an Ohio Peace Officer Basic Training Academy selected by the Chief of Police OR currently possess a valid Ohio Peace Officer Basic Training Academy certificate. Candidates who have a current Police Academy certificate from another state, may be required to re-attend an academy to meet state standards.

Extra Credit: In order to receive extra credit, candidates must be able to provide proof (DD214, College Diploma and Transcripts, Academy Certificate). Total credit cap is 12%.
