Position Title: Police Officer (Certified and Entry-level)
The Village of Schaumburg is now hiring for Police Officer! Entry-level candidates must take the FrontLine National Exam through National Testing Network prior to the application deadline. Certified Police Officers with three or more years of experience need only complete an electronic application with the Village of Schaumburg. Entry-level applicants must, in addition to completing the National Testing Network exam, submit an electronic application with the Village of Schaumburg. In accordance with Illinois State Statute, the Board of Fire and Police Commission hires certified candidates ahead of non-certified candidates.
Salary:CERTIFIED OFFICERS with prior police officer experience, may be considered for salary placement up to Step 3 ($97,860), in which case the OFFICER will advance to the next Step on their next anniversary date.ENTRY LEVEL starting salary: $80,472 based on a 40-hour work week.
The Board of Fire and Police Commission will accept applications and test results until they determine an adequate number of applications have been received.
