Job Classification: Emergency Paramedic

Tempe Fire Medical Rescue is currently hiring for Emergency Paramedic. Candidates must complete MedicTEAM exam; Medic Mile is not required for this position.

Applications will be reviewed every two weeks.

Qualified candidates will receive a link to complete the MedicTEAM exam.

Interviews will be conducted every 30-60 days.

This recruitment is to establish a hiring list.

This position is classified as safety sensitive. Employees in safety sensitive job classifications are prohibited from all marijuana usage whether medical or recreational.

Salary Information: $16.87 to $22.61

With scheduled overtime and holiday pay, a first-year paramedic will earn up to $58,000

This position is assigned to 24-hour shifts on a 56-hour work week scheduled which includes nights, weekends and holidays. Position is non-exempt and overtime eligible.

Necessary Certifications:

Possession of a current Arizona Emergency Paramedic or National Registry Paramedic certification;

Possession of a current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification;

Possession of a current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) certification; and

Possession of current CPR certification.

Proof of certifications must be uploaded to NTN during the exam process. Failure to upload required certifications will delay the candidate moving forward in the recruitment process.
