Job Classification: Firefighter/Paramedic
The Hoquiam Fire Department is seeking to fill a vacancy due to retirement with an anticipated start of mid-June. Scores will be pulled on April 4, 2025 with oral board interviews taking place on April 16, 2025. Must be a current paramedic, or enrolled in an accredited paramedic program. All candidates must take the FireTEAM exam through National Testing Network as well as have a current CPAT at the time of chief's interview to be considered further in the hiring process.
The department requires the candidate PHQ and Public Safety Self Assessment (PSSA). You can access these through your candidate account. NTN suggests completing the PHQ and PSSA as soon as possible so there is not a delay in your process.
Salary Information: $6,667 - $8354/month plus 2% for AA/AS or 4% for BA/BS. Longevity incentive pay every 5 years.
Benefit Information: Medical/Dental/Vision premiums paid by the employer and Healthcare Reimbursement Account paid into by the employer. $75,000 life insurance policy. Paid vacation and Holidays.
