Position Title: Deputy Sheriff

The DeWitt County Sheriff's Office is currently hiring for the position of Deputy Sheriff. To be considered for this position candidates must complete the NTN Law Enforcement exam and Work Attitude Questionnaire.

This position also requires a department application that can be found here.

Successful Candidates will be required to attend the State of IL Police Academy.

Salary Information: $49,476.87

Lateral Transfers:

Lateral Transfers are defined as an Officer who is currently employed as a full-time law enforcement (peace) officer in a sheriff's department, police department, or other law enforcement agency for a minimum of twenty-four (24) consecutive months with a single law enforcement agency and have completed that agency's required probationary period. Lateral Transfers are not required to attend the Corrections Academy.
