Position Title: Resident Firefighter/ EMT

Sky Valley Fire is currently hiring for Resident Firefighter/ EMT. All applicants must complete the FireTEAM exam through National Testing Network.

All applicants must complete the Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ) and the Public Safety Self Assessment (PSSA) located in your candidate profile.

Salary Information: Shift Stipend of $54.30 to $199.10 Depending on Experience

Department Overview: Sky Valley Fire serves the communities of Gold Bar and Index in Snohomish County. We average 1400 calls a year. We provide opportunities to work on BLS and ALS transport units along with Engines. We participate in state mobilizations and EMAC, sending units all over the west coast for wildland firefighting. Over the last 15 years 80 of our members have gone on to full time careers.

Program Description:
Resident Firefighter/EMTs live at one of our three stations. They work nights shifts from 5:00 pm until 8:00 am on a 2 on 4 off schedule. Residents also participate in our daytime per diem program based on their own availability. Besides structural firefighting, we offer training in high angle and swiftwater rescue, wildland firefighting, apparatus driving and advanced EMT. Members of the program are eligible to have 100% of the cost of an associates degree in Fire Science covered.
