The Milton Freewater Rural Fire Department is currently hiring for an EMT and an EMT Advanced.

Salary Information:
EMT salary $50,860.00
EMT/ Advanced $57,930.00

Department Overview: Milton Freewater is a farming community in Eastern Oregon. The cost of living is among the lowest in the State. Near the Blue Mountains with prime hiking, hunting, and fishing. Near the Snake and Columbia Rivers. New schools. We are looking for motivated people that want to become part of our community. We run on average 1300 calls per year. Relaced working atmosphere. Flexible work schedule.

Benefits Information: Medical, Dental, 401k will be provided after 6 months of employment. There is a one-year probation period.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED. Associate Degree in Fire Science or paramedic studies. Any other equivalent education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of formal education and experience requirements listed above. Equivalency will be at the sole discretion of the Chief Officers.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Oregon driver license within 90 days.

NIMS IS-100, 200, 700. Oregon or National Registry EMT at time of application. Candidate must maintain Oregon certification, at least to the level of certification at time of hire, as a condition of employment for this position. Any other equivalent education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of formal education and experience requirements listed above. Equivalency will be at the sole discretion of the Chief Officers.

DESIRABLE EDUCATION/ CERTIFICATIONS:

Current Oregon or National Registry
Bachelor's degree
