Position Title: Per Diem Firefighter/EMT

Sky Valley Fire Department is building an eligibility list for the position of Per Diem Firefighter/EMT. Candidates will be required to complete the following to be considered:

NTN's FireTEAM Exam
Public Safety Self-Assessment (PSSA, accessed through your candidate account)

Salary Information: Shift Stipend of up to $199.10 for a 9 hour shift

Department Overview: Sky Valley Fire serves the communities of Gold Bar and Index in Snohomish County. We average 1400 calls a year. We provide opportunities to work on BLS and ALS transport units along with Engines. We participate in state mobilizations and EMAC, sending units all over the west coast for wildland firefighting. Over the last 15 years 85 of our members have gone on to full time careers.

Program Description:
Per Diem Firefighter/EMTs staff one of our stations 24 hours a day. We run 2 shifts, 8:00 to 17:00 and 17:00 to 08:00. Shifts are scheduled based on member’s availability. Training opportunities for Per Diem members include wildland firefighting, technical rescue, hazardous materials response and advanced EMT. All members accepted who do not have IFSAC Firefighter 1 will be required to complete our in-house academy as a condition of probation.
