Position Title: Police Officer - Preservice
San Fernando Police Department is building an eligibility list for Preservice Police Officer. All applicants must complete the FrontLine National exam through National Testing Network.

Salary Information: $6,407 per month (preservice in or completed POST Basic Regular or Extended Academy)
Benefit Information: City covers full cost of Medical insurance not to exceed cost of CALPERS 3rd most expensive plan for LA Region. Includes full cost for dental and vision. $50,000 Basic life, AD&D provided. Additional coverage available for purchase. Retirement 2.7% at age 57, City pays 50% of total normal costs. 96 hours sick leave annual, paid equivalent 96 hours holiday pay annually, 3/12 schedule, vacation 90 hours per year for years 1-4, 135 hours for years 5-14, 180 hours for 15 years or more. $800 annual uniform allowance, $100 bilingual monthly pay, Certificate/Degree Incentive pay, Longevity pay.

The police department offers a small, intimate family environment with 35 sworn personnel, 16 professional staff and 18 sworn reserve police officers. We offer special assignments such as Detectives, K-9, School Resource Officer, Field Training Officer and others.
