Position Title: Police Recruit Trainee

The San Leandro Police Department is currently recruiting for the position of Police Recruit Trainee. Candidates are required to complete NTN's Frontline National exam and City of San Leandro application (found here) in order to be considered.

How to Apply: Candidates must apply through the City of San Leandro’s website at https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/cityofsanleandro. Scores received from NTN without a completed and qualifying application will not be considered. Candidates must attach their California POST WSTB certificate to their application. In lieu of the NTN test, candidates may submit a valid California POST Entry Level Law Enforcement Test Battery (PELLETB) “T-score” of 42 points or higher dated within one year of application. The PELLETB score must be attached to your City application.

Salary Information: $6,863 - $8,342/month

Any combination equivalent to experience and education that would most likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be to possess sixty (semester) college units.

Necessary Certifications:
Must attach a California POST physical agility test certificate, known as the Work Sample Test Battery (WSTB), with a score of 384 or higher and a 14-minute maximum time for the 1.5 mile run, dated within one year to your City of San Leandro employment application.
