Position Title: Lateral and Entry Level Police Officer
The North Bend Police Department is currently has an open hiring process for the position of Lateral or Entry Level Police Officer until filled. Once the position is filled, the North Bend Police Department may begin building an eligibility list for future positions. Candidates are required to complete the following to be considered further in the hiring process:
Salary Information: $67,656.99 - $92,539.20 per year, DOQ; Lateral applicants would be eligible for a $5,000 hiring bonus ($2,500 after being hired and $2,500 after successful completion of probationary period) as well as the possibility of up to $1,000 moving expense reimbursement. Starting salary for lateral hires may be negotiable based on relevant law enforcement experience and CBA limitations. Lateral applicants will automatically be awarded an interview and are not required to complete the NTN or POST testing phase. In addition, if a Lateral applicant is hired, they will receive 40-80 hours of sick leave, the amount will be based off of years of experience and at the Chief’s discretion.
