Position Title: Police Officer- Recruit or Lateral
Prineville Police Department is currently hiring for Recruit and Lateral Police Officer. This recruitment will be used to fill vacancies and to establish a list for upcoming openings. The eligibility list may be cancelled at any time, at the discretion of the City.
Candidates must complete the FrontLine National exam through National Testing Network. Candidates must complete the Public Safety Self-Assessment (PSSA) and the Typing Test located in your candidate profile on National Testing Network.

A valid ORPAT score is required for recruit & lateral positions prior to job offer. Candidates have the option to complete the ORPAT through National Testing Network or with the Prineville Police Department.

Salary Information:
Recruit$74,712-$87,528 Base onlyOpportunities for OvertimeIncentive pay

Benefit Information: Employer paid health insurance (Medical, Dental, and Vision). Employer paid PERS Retirement.
Sick time cash out program up to 1200 hours. Additional 8.7 hours of pay a month while working 12 hour shifts. Yearly Comp Time cash out up to 80 hours. Resident take home cars. No cost private 24 hour gym access. Pitman schedule (12 hour shifts and every other 3 day weekend off). 3.5% Incentive pay for Field Training Assignment. 2.5% Incentive pay for passing ORPAT. 3.5% Incentive pay for Longevity. 5% Incentive pay for DPSST Intermediate Certification. 10% Incentive pay for DPSST Advanced Certification. 5% Incentive pay for Bi-Lingual.
