Position Title: Police Officer
Lincolnshire Police Department is currently hiring for Police Officer. All candidates must take the FrontLine National exam through National Testing Network. All candidates must also complete the Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ) and the Public Safety Self-Assessment (PSSA) located in your candidate profile on National Testing Network.
The police academy no longer requires proof of COVID vaccination; therefore, the Village of Lincolnshire also DOES NOT require proof of vaccination. In addition to completing testing through the National Testing Network, all candidates must also complete Lincolnshire’s application process, which can be accessed here.
A fee is required to take the Frontline National examination. Candidates with demonstrated financial hardship may submit a request to have the fee partially waived prior to test registration. See “FAQs” on the NTN website (https://nationaltestingnetwork.com/publicsafetyjobs/faqs.cfm) to learn more on how to apply for a fee subsidy. Hardship subsidies will be given on a first come first served basis, as funds for these subsidies are limited.
Salary Information: $82,691 (entry); up to $97,001 (lateral) to $120,005
Benefits Information: 12-hour patrol shifts with every other weekend off; 104 hours of personal and holiday time off per year; 80 hours of vacation time after first year; 96 hours of annual sick leave with an accrual bank of up to 1,500 hours; sick leave buyback at retirement; officer wellness incentives that include compensation and up to 32 additional hours of time off; medical/dental/life insurance; post-employment health care plan; deferred compensation plan; outstanding training and career development opportunities.

City/County/Area Information: The Village of Lincolnshire is in Lake County and is approximately 34 miles north of downtown Chicago. The Village covers an area of roughly 4.5 square miles and has over 38 miles of highways, roads, and streets. The Village of Lincolnshire is an upscale community characterized by higher-than-average household earnings, highly educated residents, and a diverse population encompassing all ages, occupations, and incomes. A growing population of middle to high-income households lives within a three-mile radius of the Village. Lincolnshire has a strong and dynamic economic base. It is home to the Lincolnshire Corporate Center, Alight (formerly Aon-Hewitt), Marriott’s Lincolnshire Resort, the Lincolnshire Business Center consisting of the Commons and City Park Shopping Centers, Millbrook Office Park, and the CDW Center at Tri-State Office Park. Lincolnshire is also home to three elementary schools and Stevenson High School, a nationally ranked high school, with approximately 4,000 students.
