Position Title: Firefighter

The City of Stow Fire Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Firefigher. Candidates are required to complete a department application (found here) by September 28, 2025. NTN's FireTEAM exam and PSSA must be completed by October 5, 2025 to move forward in the hiring process.

Salary Information: $34.76 per hour in 2025 ; $35.98 per hour in 2026

Department Overview: Since 2014, we have been an ISO PPC Class 1 fire department, the first in Ohio to achieve this status. We offer opportunities beyond fire and EMS with technical rescue teams such as dive, hazmat, structural collapse, confined space and high angle rescue. We recently added SWAT medics to our list of specialty teams. We operate out of three (3) fire stations on a 24/48 schedule and have a newer, well-maintained fleet of fire and EMS apparatus.
