Position Title: Police Officer Recruit

The El Cerrito Police Department is building an eligibilty list for the position of Police Officer Recruit. Candidates will be required to complete NTN's Frontline National Exam, PSSA, and Department Application to be considered for the position.

Salary Information: $63,108/year; after completion of Academy $97,824.00 - $117,384.00 Annually

CalPERS retirement:

Safety: 3% at 50 for current members and 2.7% at 57 for new members

Work Schedule: Patrol 3/12 schedule
Paid vacation: 88 hours after one year of service
Sick leave: accrued at 120 hours per year

Medical (paid up to Kaiser family rate), and paid family Dental (including orthodontic coverage)
Life Insurance (annual salary up to $100,000)
Bilingual Pay: $100 per month
Specialty Assignment Pay: 5% salary differential for detective, field training, motorcycle, school resource, and canine assignments
Longevity Pay: 3%, 6% ,or 9% annually, based on years of service
Education Incentive: 3% for AA/AS, 4.5% for a BA/BS, 5.5% for a MA/MS
$1,000 annual Uniform Allowance
