Fire Technicians (works every sixth day) receive an additional $1.00/hr

Department Overview: Located in Richland County, Ohio, Springfield Township Fire Department operates 24-hours a day, 7 days a week from two firehouses. Staffing varies between 6-9 cross-trained Firefighter/EMT or Firefighter/Paramedics. We employ full-time, part-time, and volunteer staff and answer over 2,300 calls.
Our 50.6 square miles of coverage includes the City of Ontario, Springfield, and Sandusky Townships. Our coverage area is home to 12,068 residents. Daily thousands of visitors take advantage of our many shopping areas, entertainment establishments, service centers, and restaurants in the City of Ontario. Visitors come from 5-6 counties away to shop, dine, and enjoy entertainment. Our industrial zoned area is growing faster than ever with approximately 300,000 square feet of business space anticipated to be added within the next two years. The city's industry has since diversified into a service economy, including education, finance, and healthcare.
