Position Title: Part-Time Firefighter/Paramedic
The Long Grove Fire Protection District is currently looking to fill the position of Part-Time Firefighter Paramedic
Benefits Information:
This is an at-will position and is not considered a commissioned rank; will receive 48 hours of Annual Leave [Prorated from time of hire], accrue 24 hours of sick days annually, an employer $100 bi-weekly investment contribution towards a 457b differed compensation plan, and a $269.23 employer bi-weekly stipend towards Health Insurance. Flexible Shift schedule – 12-hour or 24 /48 schedule with the ability to trade shifts… May be eligible for overtime. [Optional: Blue Cross/Blue Shield Health Insurance available]
Salary Information: $25.39 - $27.33 per hour [depending on certification level]

Department Overview: The Long Grove Fire Protection District is an All-Hazards response agency that responds to over 1,900 incidents per year. We have an administrative staff including the Fire Chief, Deputy Chief, 3 Battalion Chiefs – 3 Lieutenants, and 15 firefighters. We train with a cooperative of neighboring fire departments and have a robust auto-aid and mutual aid system for EMS, vehicle accidents, and special rescues. We are looking for individuals who are self-starters and ready to work in a team environment to learn and experience public safety.
