Firefighter/EMT Starting Salary: $55,693 (includes Guaranteed Holiday pay)
Pay Range: $52,371 - $81,857
Department sponsored paramedic school. Candidate must become Pinellas County Certified Paramedic within 2 years of hire.
Department Overview:
The City of Dunedin is located on the west coast of Florida in the Tampa Bay area. It is fortunate to be a Gulf of Mexico coastal community boasting the beautiful beaches of Honeymoon Island State Park and Caladesi Island State Park. The City has a year around population of 45,000 and is the Spring Training home of the Toronto Blue Jays. Many special events are scheduled throughout the year including the area favorite Mardi Gras parade and celebration in the downtown area. The Fire Department operates out of three stations and is part of the Pinellas County EMS system. We operate three ALS engines, a ladder truck, brush truck, rescue and a fire rescue boat. Personnel operate on a 48/96 schedule (48 on, 96 off).

Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess the following minimum certifications:
· Florida Firefighter/EMT
· High School Diploma or GED equivalent
· Valid Florida Driver’s License
· Successful completion of the Dunedin Fire Department’s swim assessment.
· Completion of the FireTEAM assessment through the National Testing Network is required.
