Position Title: 911 Dispatcher

Jonesboro Regional 911 is hiring for the position of 911 Dispatcher. Candidates are required to complete the following to be considered for the position:

NTN's Ecomm National Exam
Ecomm National Data Entry and Computer Simulations
Typing Test
Public Safety Self Assessment (PSSA)

Salary Information: $36,114 - $38,823 Starting Per Year

Department Overview: Jonesboro Regional 911 provides dispatch services for Jonesboro and Craighead County, including 9 Law Enforcement Agencies, 11 Fire Departments, and 2 EMS Companies. All emergency calls for service for law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services are received and dispatched through this center.

Ability to obtain ACIC Certification
Ability to obtain Basic Telecommunicators Certification
Ability to obtain CPR Certification
Ability to obtain EMD Certification

Additional Requirements:

12 months or more 911 Dispatch experience or related/equivalent preferred
Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions.
Ability to pass a skills assessment test gauging your ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail in a stressful situation.
Successful pre-employment background check and the ability to pass a drug test.
