Necessary Certifications: -Valid AZ Paramedic or EMT certification -Valid Completion of CPAT or proof of completion of a CPAT within the last 12 months
Hiring Process: Successful completion of NTN testing. Complete Town of Florence application. Top candidates will be invited by email/phone to attend a Saturday/Sunday 8-hour per day assessment. During the assessment , candidates will be evaluated and if successful placed on an eligibility list for hire. The list will be maintained for 1 year unless exhausted. Recruits will attend a 16-week regional fire academy and be assigned to a shift upon completion of the fire academy. Please make sure your contact information is up to date.

Important Process Dates: (Subject to change if Town of Florence deems necessary)
April 25th 2025- Applications close 1700 hours
May 3rd-May 4th 2025-Two day assessment and interview 0700-1500
May 19th 2025- Conditional job offers made pending medical screening and baground check
July 7th 2025- Final job offers made
July 28th 2025- Start date
August 11th-December 1st 2025- 16 week Regional Academy
Disqualifiers:Criminal Activity-The candidate must disclose all lifetime criminal history.Immediate disqualifications of candidates who select no criminal history andcrimes are confirmed on background check. Offenses will be evaluated to be inconflict with the position requested. In the last 10 years, 2 convictions of DUIwithin any 5-year period or 1 in less than the most recent previous 5 years willresult in disqualification.
