Hiring Process:

Written Test, Panel Interview, Command Staff Interview, Background Process to include a polygraph and psychological examination

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate or bachelor’s degree.
Prior work experience in a law enforcement agency.
Typing of 40 CWPM.
Customer Service Experience.
Experience with Computer Aided Dispatch.
Software Arizona Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) certification (Past or Present)

Ability to function effectively under heavy pressure and correctly deal with emergency situations following department procedures.
Ability to be proficient in CAD and RMS within six months.
Ability to pass the Arizona CJIS Level A terminal operator certification within six months of hire.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other University employees and to deal effectively with the public.
Demonstrates problem-solving, organizational, and analytical capabilities.
Analyzes non-routine situations and anticipates issues.
Promotes a diverse, inclusive environment.
